Terms & cancellation
These points describe how bookings work in the product today. Replace with reviewed customer terms before public launch. This is not a substitute for formal terms of business.
Booking requests
Submitting a booking is a collection request. A preferred date is not a guaranteed appointment until ScrapCollect confirms it. Coverage is determined by postcode and region rules.
Pricing and payment
Some items are free to collect; others have a fixed charge or need a quote after review. Card payments are taken via Stripe Checkout. Choosing cash on collection means payment is due when we collect, and the booking stays unpaid until receipt is recorded.
Cancellation
Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change a booking. Card payments that have completed may be refundable according to the operator's refund process (configure refund handling in Stripe/admin before launch). Abandoned checkouts do not confirm a paid booking.
What we collect
Service scope (accepted scrap types, specialist items, and exclusions) is shown during booking. Hazardous or specialist waste may require additional classification before documentation can be issued.
